In Best Weight Loss Diet, I explained the theory behind a weight loss diet that actually works. In this article I'll explain to you the best diet plan which will let you make use of this theory.


In case you haven't read that article yet (why not?) I'll summarise the theory aspect of the best weight loss diet.


The best weight loss diet is one that focuses on *healthfulness* rather than calorie content or any other aspect of the diet. Healthfulness allows the body to clear out the toxins which are stored in fat, which is the main reason why the body keeps excess fat. A healthful diet is also easier to maintain low in calories, too, as your body craves less food when its nutritional needs are met.


What foods are healthful? How can you begin eating those foods? Read on to find out.


Best Weight Loss Diet Plan


In this diet plan, I'm going to recommend first of all you make a rather sharp change – go vegan.


This may seem radical to some but the fact is, going vegan works. It's normal to expect a stable weight loss of 10-20 kilos just by going vegan – something which may be enough in itself to get you to your target weight. What's best is that you'll never gain that weight on again.

Other diet changes may work but the great thing is that going vegan works because it's an increase of the healthfulness of the diet you are following. If you think about it, it makes sense. Animal foods are the only foods that contain cholesterol and saturated fat in significant quantities. They have excess fat and no essential nutrient which plant foods don't have.


What you may not also know is that animal foods contain a lot of toxins, too. Animals accumulate toxins naturally in their bodies over their lifetimes – in much the same way as *you* do. If you eat their flesh or secretions, it's only natural that these toxins will go straight into your body – and what's more, they will be the sort of toxins which are hard to eliminate, e.g. that have to be stored. The animals stored those toxins, and your body will do the same.

I recommend you try going vegan for just one month to see what changes you experience. You'll probably notice some “withdrawal” symptoms for the first few days, followed by a much more positive, healthy feeling in your body and some rapid weight loss. The usual 10-20 kilos of weight loss on the vegan diet will be seen within the first month or two.


Raw Food Weight Loss Diet Plan


The other change in diet I'm going to recommend to you in this weight loss diet plan is the raw food diet.


The raw food diet is the absolutely best diet for weight loss. If you check out my article, Raw Food Diet For Weight Loss, you can see how it affected Angela Stokes, a previously mortally obese woman who lost half of her weight on the raw food diet.


I personally find it very hard to maintain a 100% raw diet at the moment. I am working towards following a 100% raw diet, but in the meantime I am bit by bit improving the healthfulness of my diet, especially by following raw food principles.


The healthiest foods, and therefore the best foods for weight loss, are fruit and vegetables. A healthy raw food diet contains only raw fruit and vegetables with very few nuts and seeds. So while you are working towards this ideal, you can simply do these things:


1. Increase the amount of fruit you eat every day.



Eat fruit before your meal – try to fill up on it as much as possible. Give it 30 minutes to leave your stomach so that they won't mix in your stomach – this insures healthiest digestion. Then eat however much cooked food you still feel drawn to eat.


Snack on fruit – whenever you need a quick fix go for fruit.


If possible, replace one meal a day with fruit or one day a week with a 100% raw food diet. Push yourself, but know your limits and avoid frustration. You need to be in this for the long haul.


2. Increase the amount of vegetables you eat every day.


Eat as many vegetables as possible – both raw and cooked, but especially raw. Fill up on veg. Snack on veg if at any point you don't feel like fruit, and combine vegetables with all of your meals. Try to make half to three-quarters of the volume of what you eat, vegetables.


When you get used to this, it's a great way of eating. You can fill up on a lot of delicious food this way and lose, rather than gain, weight. Eat vegetables (as well as fruit) like you were at a party. It's totally okay – even recommended – to eat these foods until your belly bulges. You won't get sick from it. Quite the opposite.


Vegetables are valuable sources of fibre and minerals and have almost no calories. Also, they combine with hard to digest foods well. If you combine a lot of fruit with other foods, you are likely to get a stomach upset. But veg is fine.


3. Eat more food, but eat more of the right food.


The marvellous thing about these principles is that you get to eat more food!


Fruit and veg can be absolutely delicious, and the great thing is you don't have to be guilty about eating it. The more of these foods you eat, the more weight you'll lose. So eat like you were at a party, every day, but make it fruit and veg.


Naturally, by eating more of these foods you'll end up eating less of the other foods (starchy and fatty foods).


It's best to reduce the amount of fat you eat if possible. So focus on fruit and starch for your calorie needs.


Eat as much starchy foods as you need to to not feel hungry, but make sure you eat as much fruit as possible before you eat them and as much vegetables as possible as you eat them.


Summing Up The Best Weight Loss Diet Plan


So that's what I think would be the best weight loss diet plan. Eat as much as you like of the right foods, and seek to displace the “wrong” foods with more of the right foods. If you can, go vegan directly, and if you find it hard, try and transition to vegan bit by bit. Improve the healthfulness of your diet in all ways as much as possible, and expect weight loss to be only one of the great benefits of doing this.


Don't push yourself too hard – go easy on yourself and have fun with it! The great thing is that once you've made the change stick, you won't actually feel like eating the old foods. It's a battle with your emotional attachments, but when you've broken them you're free to effortlessly enjoy great weight loss, health and the other benefits of the best weight loss diet plan.
