Is Constant Content a Scam?
By Andrew Gubb
A lot of people ask the question, is Constant Content a Scam? I’ve tried out Constant Content and I have to say the site is totally legit. I won’t say I like it overmuch, but I do see that it can and does work for a lot of people.
The site lets you sell your writing directly to webmasters who are looking for content. It’s a great concept, and it works well – to a point. The editors seem to be the weakest link. I've found that they have a seeming need to make their writers wrong by imposing THEIR way of doing things.
I got very annoyed with this, as I'm in the writing business in part because I *don't* want to have a boss controlling my every move. Nowadays I only write a few articles every so often on Constant Content, and I focus my efforts on HubPages.com and my own website. I think they are missing out on my work, but that's how things are.
What makes being shot down repeatedly even more annoying is that there is a gruelling process of posting and reposting articles after each time the editor shoots it down. It can take about a month to get just one piece of content posted in your profile. At least it was that way for me; I imagine that people who know how to please the eds can get their writing approved faster. Mostly, I think, you need to write work that doesn't seem opinionated, but that takes all the fun out of it for me.
Asides from these gripes, Constant Content also takes a large cut of the deal – 35% on all of your content sold – which, while not consituting a scam exactly, does seem a little exorbitant.
Now that I’ve mentioned the bad, let me explain the good. Constant Content is a site where authors get their work out there without having to do any of their own marketing. For those who just want to write, this is a godsend.
It’s possible to earn a good to great living on Constant Content, and unlike places like HubPages, it’s possible to earn money immediately and not have to build up a huge article portfolio before you’re earning much. (I prefer HubPages, for the record). When making plans, though, consider that Constant Content may slow you down as you will have to learn to please the editors.
So in summary: Constant Content is not a scam, though it may or may not be worth your while. It all depends on your dedication, your situation, and your character.

LOL, I don't think I could say I'm promoting them! But you dislike CC too, so we have a lot in common. Welcome to the club, bro.
I just got banned from constant content for plagiarism even though I wrote an article from scratch so I think the editors are an absolute joke:) I am now going to focus on my blog and hubpages
Wow. That takes the cake. Thanks for sharing!

Constant-content is a scam, I have submitted a few articles, and all were promptly rejected within few hours with suspension notice. Mind you, I opened different accounts and submitted a new article each time! When I tried registering in their forum, the site did not allow me to register, I was shocked to see few writers (in fact, majority of them) claiming how they were allowed to re-submit their articles after revision. I think Constant-content is signaling Asian writers and banning them immediately without even looking at the articles. They seem to think Asians don't know how to write, and guess what, I sold the same articles at much higher prices to a reputed magazine. Now a magazine will not buy an article if it was full of errors! So far i have only heard stories and these stories are easy to plant, I have not seen one writer posting screen-shots of his earnings, and the most hilarious thing is the jerks who claim to be grammar perfect have grammatical error in one of their article that is pasted for sale, and see the author requests, you will understand, the site claiming grammar perfect have most of requests that have extremely poor grammar. So don't fool people by promoting jerks like CC.
