Embrace Your Individuality

I want to write an article to encourage anyone who comes across this to embrace their individuality. That's right: I want YOU to embrace YOUR individuality.
Not anyone else's. Duh. :P
Embracing Your Individuality
It's easy to embrace your individuality when your individuality is previously approved by society. Those guys who are authentically interested in racing cars, and those girls who are authentically interested in... girly stuff, I salute you. You're lucky bastards to not have to fight social resistance to be who you are, and you deserve every ounce of the ease you experience.
But those people who have found this article may not have found it easy to embrace their individuality. Maybe they are girls who love racing cars, or guys who love... girly stuff. Or maybe they are even more far out than that.
I'll tell you what, it's easy to say stuff behind the screen of the internet where no one sees who's writing. Right now I have a pink bow in my hair and another pink bow around my private parts. LOL.
Me and my girlfriend felt like playing dress-up. It was a game and we laughed, but I also enjoyed it. I'm a guy and I love to wear pink bows in my hair. I like to feel girly. (As well as play crazy games).
As you can see embracing my individuality is a topic that's close to my heart.
How To Embrace Your Individuality
If you're a sensitive person, you will need to find really supportive people who you can embrace your individuality with. Even if you're not, a positive environment is essential, but a guy with thick skin can pull off being individual in certain more hostile environments. (When it comes down to it though, who would want to be in an environment where you find that you're not welcome?)
It's fear of attacks from your peers that stops you from embracing your individuality. Get out of environments where you are pressured not to embrace your individuality – and, embrace it.
By embrace it I mean start living your individuality. Start expressing it, start being unapologetic about it. The more you express and live your individuality the more of it you'll discover. Individuality that is not lived disappears from sight. It never dies, but needs to be found again later.
Accept your individuality in yourself, too. People are usually more accepting of a person who is accepting of themselves. And you won't really manage to find and live your individuality unless you accept it and love it.
Muster your bravery to live differently. If your individuality is in your artwork, get doing it. Fill all your free time with it and learn to make a living from it so that you can have more time to do it.
Don't let fear hold you back. If there's an internal block to embracing your individuality, identify it and work to get over it by whatever means possible. Start loving personal development – it's such a powerful tool.
In the end, your individuality is a gift. Everyone was made with a gift to give to the world, something wonderful to share. The more individual you are, the more you shine.
So shine. Embrace your individuality, bit by bit, more and more, starting today.
